Additional to the New York State Pavilion is the Westinghouse Time Capsule opposite the Pavilion facing the Grand Central Parkway. Duplicates of the Time Capsules both from the 1939 and 1964 Fairs are currently located in a storage room in of all places the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, Penn. and should in fact be relocated to the Queens Museum where a permanent collection of both world's fairs are housed. mmwnyc1@yahoo.com

For one, I would like to see this restored and then I could finally experience the New York Worlds Fair of 1964 in this way! It was something I had hoped to see as a young girl and circumstances prevented me. I hope that many people will find some worth in the cost and skills it will take to fix and restore this piece of architectural art so that others can appreciate not only the history of this but also appreciate what the 1960's was really like and the energy, ideals, and ideas of that time.

Yesterday, I was just at what remains of the Tent of Tomorrow. It is an amazing structure and a shame that it has been left to deteriorate. Even more sad is that there have been no responses to this posting and webpage. I hope you have not given up, the Tent deserves attention.

Wow, I never knew the Tent of Tomorrow looked like that back in the day. I'm 40 so I was born after the 64 Fair but have seen the iconic buildings in movies and pics. It would be awesome if the site could be refurbished and updated like before. It would be an absolute shame if it weren't.

i am heartbroken to see this pop culture icon so run down. I attended the world's fair, and those memories are priceless treasures to me. I would so get involved in getting this Ny icon back to its original splendor. I am currently working on a music project that i hope will inspire the city to use for future promotions on getting this refurbishing project started. I visit the park occasionally, and feel the joy that could be happening to visitors when seeing these landmarks at full function!! thanks jeff

The site of the 1964/65 Worlds Fair will always be associated with memories of a city of diverse aspirations and a city of strenth. A project in support of such a theme should be supported and should provide opportunities for all New Yorkers.
